Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up—and when?
Online Registration is now open. In advance of registration, you may want to contact block mates, student groups, and old friends and encourage them to join you at Reunion. When registration opens, you’ll have the option to register online for events and housing with a credit card. If you would like to take advantage of dorm accommodations, you must register for housing by the deadline set for April 28. After the April 28 deadline, housing registration will be closed. You will receive your room assignment upon your arrival to campus.

When do the events begin and end?
The reunion will begin on the afternoon of Wednesday May 24 with an informal gathering. Things will wrap up on Sunday, May 28, with brunch ending at 12pm. Check-out at the registration headquarters will also close at 12pm.

A la carte or smorgasbord?
You may pick and choose which events you’d like to attend. There is a discount if you buy a full package that grants you entry to all Reunion events. The schedule will be posted on the website and updated as needed.

Will tickets be available at the door?
Walk-in attendees are on a space-available basis. To be sure you’ll have a spot, buy in advance! Please note that we’re unable to accept walk-ins for the Children’s Program.

Can only members of 1982 attend?
Guests are welcome, as are alumni friends of the class celebrating reunion from other years. Anyone with a Harvard Key can register for Reunion events. Guests who are not affiliated with Harvard should be added to the registration form of the class member with whom they are attending.

I’m attending with another member of our class and want our materials to be together. What should we do?
If both members of a couple are a member of the class of 1982, we recommend you register separately and let HAA know you would to link your information. You’ll also be able to let us know in your housing form that you’re a family and would like to be housed together.

I want to come to the Reunion but if I buy tickets now and my plans change, will I be able to get a refund?
Refunds requested in writing (email is preferred) to 35thReunion_HAA@harvard.edu by the April  28 deadline will be granted. Following the April 28 deadline, we won’t be able to refund cancelled orders.

Parking
Complimentary parking is available on campus at the 10 Everett Street garage, as well as 52 Oxford Street. When you arrive at the garage, tell the attendant you’re here for Reunions.

Dietary restrictions
There will be vegetarian options at all Reunion events. If you have a further dietary restriction, please indicate this on the form when you register and we’ll work to provide alternative meals.

Housing!
A perk of the 35th reunion is that we are offered on campus housing!  You are welcome to make hotel accommodations also in area hotels; there are still a number of hotels will availability for all the nights, and the best rates will probably be found online at travel sites.

Staying in the Houses:
The 35th Reunion is housed in the River Houses.  This is super fun and a visit down memory lane; to remind you, though, the Houses are simple, no-frills, shared bathrooms in many, and no A/C, but it’s a beautiful and historic setting right in the heart of it all.  Included in your housing registration are sheets, pillow, a blanket, towel and soap; and your beds will be made up for you upon arrival. The cost for on campus housing is $95 per person, per night. Child housing is a flat rate of $75, regardless of how many nights the child stays on-campus.

Am I guaranteed on campus housing?
Due to the limited availability of beds, housing requests will be filled on a first-come, first serve basis. All housing requests must be made by Friday, April 28.

Are prices per person, room, bed?
Prices are per bed, per night. Keep in mind these are the same beds used for undergrads, and they might feel much smaller now! If you register for one bed, you will receive one swipe card to get into the House, one key to get into your room, bedding and linens for one person. If you register for two beds, you will receive two swipes, two keys, two sets of linens, and so on.

Can I be with my first year roommates?
A lovely addition that HAA will aim to accommodate is that when registering you will have the chance to indicate which friends with or near whom you would like to room!
